Repository access after creation with SCM

Hi, we’re having some trouble accessing the repository after it’s created with SCM, the repo appears on the file system as well as in redmine, but it can not be browsed because it denies access by a user which has been added with all permissions to the project.
I suspect, though I may be wrong, that the repository access is not being mapped to the redmine users
we’re using scm creator 0.4.3 on:
Redmine 2.5.2
Ruby version 1.8.7-p302 (2010-08-16) [x86_64-linux]
Rails version 3.2.19
