Redmine Contact Form - Feature #2442 (New): Put sender's email into Fromhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24422018-05-17T09:56:37ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Right now, the plugin puts sender’s email into the Reply-To header and the From header uses the Redmine’s emission email address. As a result, when I click Reply some email clients (such as Thunderbird) do not fill the To address of the replying email (so I need to do this manually each time).

So, I wonder, if the plugin should user the From header instead?
Projects - Improvement #2431 (New): Fix location of known_hosts for www-datahttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24312017-12-01T15:14:05ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

To mirror code onto GitHub, I call
git
under the
www-data
user. Git, in turn, is using SSH, which needs to store
known_hosts
file somewhere. Currently, it’s stored in
www-data
's “home” directory
/var/www
, what is not very secure (probably - no, it’s not accessible via web, but).

Git 2.3+ supports the special environmental variable
GIT_SSH_COMMAND
, that allows to specify parameters for SSH. This variable can be used to specify a different location for the
known_hosts
file as follows:
ssh -o UserKnownHostsFile=/path/to/file
. However, I’m using Debian jessie for now, in which Git is of the version 2.1.

I create this ticket to remind me about the need to fix this, after I upgrade my server.
CD-Index - Feature #2425 (New): Content rating data for images and videoshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24252017-10-13T11:30:24ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

CDP and CDV databases should be extended to include a byte (for each entry) describing, whether the content has any age limits. Thus, its value can be just the minimum age. In such case adult content (“NC-17”) would be 17,
0xFF
(255) would mean “no limits” (an analogue of “G”) and
0x00
(0) would mean “no value”.
CD-Index - Feature #2424 (New): Option to skip thumbnail(s)http://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24242017-10-13T11:28:25ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

For some media it may be needed to skip all thumbnails. In this case, the following command line option can be used:

$ cdindex --skip-all-thumbs "Media name"

In other cases it may be needed to skip thumbnails only for some entries (e.g., I had situations, when ffmpeg’s libswscale crashed on a video file). In this case, the following option can be used (multiple times, if needed):

$ cdindex --skip-thumb Failing.avi "Media name"

Projects - Feature #2416 (New): Starred issueshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24162016-11-06T22:21:29ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Sometimes I want to mark issues, that I want to work on on high priority. It’s not enough to remember them, as I can have no time to start working on them during months. So, obviously, it’s not possible to remember their numbers.

In this case, it would be great to have the possibility to “star” such issue.

I was thinking about implementing something like this using special custom fields (and already started to do something), but then I realized, that this should be a separate plugin. Thus, custom fields won’t allow me to have the “Starred issues” block on “My page”.

Other requirements/ideas:

The star should be in the right top corner of the issue page (below “Previous"/“Next” links).

The star should be displayed in the issue list, i.e., it should be supported by the issue query.

Projects - Support #2400 (New): Redmine < 3.x clean uphttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24002015-10-02T23:49:25ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Currently, plugins come with code even for Redmine 1.4 . This should be cleaned up.
Projects - Support #2399 (New): ChiliProject cleanuphttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/23992015-10-02T23:48:15ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

The code for ChiliProject is to be cleaned up. As ChiliProject is dead.

Also, custom fields and related information should be removed for each project.
RedPress - Bug #2289 (New): Hide moved news from the project overview pagehttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/22892014-05-03T19:34:22ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

As of now moved news are still shown...
RedWord - Improvement #2243 (New): Show unapproved comments for adminshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/22432013-10-06T12:26:34ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

The theme is capable of showing unapproved, spam and trashed comments (like Redmine shows private notes). But such comments are not returned by the comment query.

So, the comment query should be altered to include unapproved comments for admins.

The style of such comments should also be changed to use the Redmine private notes style by default.
Orangutan - Enhancement #1601 (Incomplete): Configuring contexts weightshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/16012011-02-01T13:45:11ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

This was a part of #1081 but I figured out that current configuration file format is too limited.

With current format such could be done with:

contexts.request_weight = Issue:10
contexts.response_weight = Issue:10
contexts.filter_weight = Issue:10

This is odd!..

There should be an easier way to change weight like:

Context Issue {
Weight 10
}
Context Task {
Weight {
Response 10
}
}

Changing weight maybe needed to change the priority of contexts. This way Orangutan will became more flexible.
Orangutan::Redmine - Feature #1337 (Incomplete): Automatic time trackinghttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/13372010-12-02T17:07:30ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Not sure if this is need but just an idea...

Currently a "task" has the following components:

Start time

End time

Description

Issue

And/or project

Activity

Let’s review them...

Activity, project and/or issue can be set default. Start time and end time can be fetched using Jabber statuses. The only description left - but Redmine does not require it.

So what if...

Assuming that user has set default activity and project or issue. Oragutan can start a task automatically when user comes online, can stop it automatically when user goes away or offline. In this case Orangutan won’t use description.

Whould such mode be helpful?

The only requirement is that user should pay a special attention to status changes! That is switch offline or away when leaves and don’t when working.

Of course, for this Orangutan should be switched to a special mode by a request like:

Track my time automatically

In addition, Orangutan can let user sepcify description... Actually it will work with no special changes - if user enters something and task exists Orangutan will ask if task should be renamed.
Orangutan::Redmine - Feature #1104 (Incomplete): Automatic overtime trackinghttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/11042010-11-08T13:43:14ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

I just thought that it can be useful to track overtime automatically... How do I see this (just an example):

In Softjourn we have a single activity - “Normal” (on the project we have more but anyway). There can be added another activity “Overtime”... Then saying when user starts working for more than 8 hous Orangutan saves current task with user’s activity (Normal) and creates new task (with all the same info) with activity “Overtime”. This can be done transparently to user (user won’t know this happened).

Of course, this should be configured, e.g.:

User: Track overtime with activity "Overtime"

Just an idea - not sure if we need this...
Orangutan - Feature #1028 (Incomplete): Recognizing English text accidentally entered with differ...http://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/10282010-10-21T22:15:51ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

catchall => 1
)

I guess you forgot to switch languages”

Викликати контекст з трансльованим текстом

Це поки що просто ідея...
Orangutan::Redmine - Feature #1022 (Incomplete): Changing issue status depending on user presencehttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/10222010-10-20T17:49:02ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

I figured out that Redmine messenger is able to change status to “In progress” when user comes online (and task is active). Then when user lefts/goes away the messenger changes status to some different value (we can use “Paused” or whatever).

Not sure how is it wanted but idea looks interesting... This way viewers will be able to check if anyone works on the issue right now...
Orangutan::Redmine - Enhancement #215 (Incomplete): Support issue subject as an answer to the iss...http://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/2152010-04-08T22:06:38ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

When Orangutan asks to enter issue some people think that they should enter issue subject. Therefore issue subject as an answer perhaps should be supported. This feature should be added to Issue and MainIssue contexts.
