Redmine CD-Index - Feature #2430 (Open): (Non-)interactive mode for cdindexhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/24302017-11-09T11:16:43ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

RAR archives (others, probably, too) can be protected by passwords. Currently, CD-Index uses the
-p-
flag for the external
unrar
tool to prevent it from asking the password. But, in some cases it would be better to allow users to enter it, so that CD-Index could index the contents of such archives. On the other side,
cdindex
can be run on server in non-interactive mode (e.g., from web script) and asking password will make it halt in this case.

Therefore, CD-Index should support two modes: non-interactive (default) and interactive. If run in the interactive mode, CD-Index can, e.g., set the environmental variable
CDINDEX_INTERACTIVE=1
to let its special tools, such as
rar
, know, which mode is used. The interactive mode can be triggered, e.g., by command-line option
--interactive
.
Project Sections - Improvement #2218 (Closed): "Subproject of" and "Parent section" conflicthttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/22182013-09-02T16:32:39ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Section hierarchy is build “on top” of the project hierarchy, i.e., first the sections go, then projects. A project <ins>can’t</ins> define sections for its subprojects – all they are forced to use the section of the parent project.

The plugin does a lot to handle this. Thus, you just won’t be able to set the project section for a child project! But...

When you create a new project the creation form allows you to choose the parent project and the project section at the same time... The latter, actually, will be just ignored, but.

The project form should use JavaScript to prevent confusion! Thus, when user selects the parent project the project section should disappear or become disabled and so on.
Hooks Manager - Feature #2209 (Incomplete): A templating language supporthttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/22092013-08-07T15:24:07ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

I wonder, if the Hooks Manager can allow a more flexible customization... For example, can it support hook’s arguments to display content conditionally?.. Using some JS tricks (like ones used for
:view_wiki_inline_content
) of course it can, but can it be easier?

I guess the best option would be to introduce some templating language, which would allow something like:

...

...

Project Alias - Bug #2192 (Closed):
above the headerhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/21922013-07-13T21:56:56ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

The

tag gets shown as escaped HTML above the header line.

Instead of “Not for Project” it’s better to have a form allowing to select projects for which an advertisement should be shown or all.

Maybe also a form allowing project managers (having appropriate permission) to disable some ads for project.
Red-Andy - Feature #1833 (Closed): A better quotes stylehttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/18332011-08-29T15:16:01ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Honestly - I don’t like the current style of the code... I believe it should be more perceptible! Will play with the style...
Hooks Manager - Feature #1754 (Closed): Ads form needs to be restructurizedhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/17542011-05-20T13:37:29ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com
Current ads form is not very friendly!.. Here are issues:

One-level list of placeholders is hard to read

It’s not clear what placeholders already have ads and which don’t (for Firefox corresponding options have “checked” icon which however do not work under e.g. Chrome)

When HTML code is modified and one selects another placeholder the confirmation dialog appears... But the placeholder is no changed back if user rejects!..

I plan to change this form in the next version. Some ideas:

To the left we can have "menu" like:

Content

All pages

Project page

...

Sidebar

All pages

...

Some "tab" (or similar) can allow switching to "menu" like:

All pages

Content

Sidebar

...

Project page

...

Not sure where to place the outline for now...
Orangutan - Feature #1614 (Open): AIMLhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/16142011-02-02T22:08:21ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Wikipedia says:

AIML, or Artificial Intelligence Markup Language, is an XML dialect for creating natural language software agents.

This is one of well known AI “technologies”. What about trying to use it under Orangutan?

Right now it is impossible to see start and end time of a task in Redmine.
Orangutan::Redmine - Feature #494 (Closed): A context for showing notes/comments for the issuehttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/4942010-06-06T20:03:25ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Currently ShowIssue shows many details about an issue. But it does not show notes...
There can be too many notes for a single issue. So future ShowNotes context should be smart enough to show only first 10 for example.
Orangutan - Improvement #17 (Won't Fix): A context for timesheet submissionhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/172009-10-05T19:17:00ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

It seems that every timesheet should be submitted (not sure why and how this helps). Right now the only way to submit a timesheet is to do this through OrangeHRM. But... We can add a context asking a user if Orangutan can submit a timesheet on the beginning of the next week.
