When migrating to Redmine 3.0.0-stable (GIT), the
rake db:migrate RAILS_ENV=production
command was throwing following error:

An error occurred while loading the routes definition of sidebar plugin (/opt/redmine/redmine/plugins/sidebar/config/routes.rb): You should not use the `match` method in your router without specifying an HTTP method.
If you want to expose your action to both GET and POST, add `via: [:get, :post]` option.
If you want to expose your action to GET, use `get` in the router:
Instead of: match "controller#action"
Do: get "controller#action".

Subsituting the “match” strings with “get”, as suggested by the error message, seems to solve the issue.
Redmine setup:
Project A and B are not public projects, with several common members. Members of only one project can click the links of users involved in both projects, and in their activity they will see the mentions from the issues on the other projects, along with subject, project nam and other sensitive info. Mentions on objects belonging to a projwct whuch is not visible to the current usr should be hidden from activity streams.
Extended Fields - Patch #2328 (Under Verification): Make the Project type custom fields sortable ...http://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/23282014-08-26T10:14:32ZOlivier Houdas

In Issue lists, it might be useful to sort on custom fields added by Extended fields.
As you may have noticed, custom fields of new types added by Extended fields are not clickable for sorting in the Issue lists.

I suggest to add some code to make the column title clickable for sorting on it, on columns for custom fields of Project type.

The patch to do so is attached to this issue. It was tested on CentOS, Ruby 2.0 and Redmine 2.5.2.
Extended Fields - Bug #2320 (Under Verification): Internal error when opening issues tabhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/23202014-06-26T04:30:02ZNaoki Tamura

Hi, I did some improvements to this plugin which make handling for enduser a lot better I think and are in use in our installations.

In result this are 10 patches, I just append them here. Numbering is in order of apply (patch -p 1 < filename.patch)

Inside each patch is the commit description what this patch does:

hide the new repository button when it is disabled

the button “create repository” is displayed only once and below the form as all other buttons, too.

removed the login inputs for subversion repository 'cause them only are created local

set extension ".git” for new git repositories if extension is enabled

display orginal svn form if subversion creator isn’t enabled. Belongs to patch 3

a better default repository name for git creator

some improvements to the creation and add button

remove create button from inside form, belongs to some patches before

Special repository name input if allow_add_local == false. This means, it has now a more intelligent mask so no wrong repository names could entered

display the clone/checkout url in top of a repository view so user without access to settings page can copy it easly

Hope, this patches helps you and your nice plugin.
SCM Creator (+Github) - Patch #2278 (Deferred): Disable "Save repository" button on new repositorieshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/22782014-01-23T07:54:07ZElektritter Messinger

Hi,

a lot of our users were confused when the “Save repository” button is enabled on creating a new repository getting error message or a non function repository entry.

So I made a small patch which disables the “Save repository” button

when it is a new repository entry

allow_add_local
is False

It made the form much cleaner to them and lowered the questions for help a lot
OpenID Fix - Patch #2024 (Under Verification): Associate existing accounts by emailhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/20242012-04-18T10:05:31ZRuben Silva

Hi there, I was struggling with OpenId account association until I realize that is just not implemented at all. So after this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8806865/redmine-openid-usage where @mppfiles bring openId fix to my knowledge I went a little deeper I edit the code so now it checks if the email returned by openID is an existing user email and if so associates the identity_url permanently.

Patch attached.
Project Alias - Patch #1985 (Deferred): Redmine.pm for Git supporting project-aliaseshttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/19852012-02-23T12:09:11ZDavid Rahusen

Hey there,

I’ve been fiddling around to get Redmine.pm handling project-aliases. I finally made it! But if the identifier has been changed, the old identifier needs to be present as an alias!!! Otherwise the SCM directory will be finally unreachable.

However, I’m really NOT familiar with perl/mod_perl. Therefore, usage is on own risk, I cannot guarantee for anything!

The attached diff is the diff of my Redmine.pm to the original extra/svn/Redmine.pm as originally delivered by Redmine, including the following patches/modifications:

Support for Git: “0001-Redmine.pm-update-patch-4905-to-Redmine-1.3.0-fixed.patch” ( Redmine #4905 )

Minor modification for LDAP-Authentication via the login credentials that shall be authentificated.

Support for project-alias: Redirects to the “real SCM-directory” if an alias is used or identifier has been changed.

The modifications for project aliases are like this:

The sql query retrieves permissions for the project, specified by project-identifier OR project-id corresponding to the alias wihtin table project_aliases.

Checks if directory named like the project-identifier specified by the URL exists.

If yes, proceed as usual.

If not, check if directory named like the real project-identifier retrieved from database exists.

If yes, redirect to corrected URL.

If not, check if directory named like any alias exists.

If yes, redirect to the corrected URL.

If not, go on. The SCM will announce an error.

Open issues:

Line 473-475: The location of the repositories should be retrieved from Apache config or environment variables. Any ideas?

The script should be double checked at all! In my environment it works fully satisfying for me, for others maybe not.

Author Box - Feature #1943 (Deferred): Author box layout change planhttp://projects.andriylesyuk.com/issues/19432012-01-14T15:08:41ZAndriy Lesyuks-andy@andriylesyuk.com

Current Author box style does not allow using it with many authors... Ok, it does! But there can be issues... Besides what if many authors are to be shown? Or even roles (see #1842)?..

So I think about changing the layout... Maybe I will allow switching to new layout (or back) in plugin configuration... Not sure for now!

Check a mock up:

Generally when we cloned a “normal” git repository, the entire folder is under git control and the git information are keep in
.git
folder within it.

Can SCM be modify such that it create the folder as like a normal git repository?

ProjA
-→
.git

-→ directoryA
-→ directoryB
-→ files

This allows the same folder to be serve from gitweb and use as the actual repository and not just a bare information header.
