Lester Martin's review
Added by Andriy Lesyuk about 11 years ago
Lester posted his review in his blog:
Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to be a reviewer on a few books. For Manning, I was able to do this on the EJB Cookbook, Spring in Action and Portlets in Action. Recently, PACKT Publishing contacted me to see if I could participate as a reviewer for their Mastering Redmine book by Andriy Lesyuk. Being a BIG fan of Redmine (and TRAC before that), I immediately said yes.
Andriy did a solid job at bringing this popular open-source project to a book. If you are new to Redmine, check it out sometime; it can be the right tool for many teams – especially those teams smaller than 15 folks. It gives you SCM integration, work item management, wiki, and many more features plus cross-linking among everything. Mastering Redmine presents new, and seasoned users alike, with some solid information on this solid tool. Check out the table of contents and sample chapter to get a feel of what this book is about.
Additionally, he published the following on Amazon:
Solid book about a solid project. For those unfamiliar with Redmine, this is a great book to introduce you to this project that is a great fit for small-to-medium agile teams. For those folks who have used Redmine for a while, you’ll still find some things about Redmine that you just didn’t know. Andriy (a die-hard believer in Redmine) presents all the right information and in the right order. Glad I have a copy of it!
Thank you, Lester, for these reviews!
